A Spinning® class, aka indoor cycling, is a high-intensity workout on a stationary bike. Spinning® bikes have a weighted flywheel. And, unlike traditional exercise bikes, you can stand on the pedals. So you can power through those climbs and sprints. Spinning® classes are led by a certified instructor who will guide you through each phase of the workout. These may include a warm-up, steady up-tempo cadences, sprints, climbs, and a cool-down. You can adjust the resistance on the bike to simulate different terrains and intensities. That’s what makes it suitable for all fitness levels. If you’re a newbie, you can simply lower the resistance.
